How Psychotherapy Can Help You

My Practice Approach and Experience

I believe in listening to you with genuine care, understanding your experience as it is, and supporting you in moving toward the direction you want for your life. With over 20 years of clinical experience working with individuals, couples, and families across diverse cultural contexts (Bangladesh, UK, and Canada), I can help you explore the deep rooted mechanisms behind the challenges you are facing and identify the strengths you already have to work through them.

If you feel stuck, misunderstood, or caught in patterns that are hard to change on your own, you are welcome here. I offer a space where we can bring important people into meaningful conversations, explore challenges without blame, and understand how different parts of your life are connected. Together, we focus on separating problems from people and creating respectful, collaborative dialogue so new and more helpful ways of understanding and relating can emerge.

I have extensive experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), having worked as a clinician, supervisor, and trainer in Bangladesh since 2004. I expanded my approach by specializing in Systemic Family Therapy, shifting from a linear understanding of problems to a more relational and circular perspective. Since 2014, I have been working within this framework, focusing on how relationships and contexts shape individual experiences.

I now practice as an integrative therapist, drawing on the strengths of different therapeutic approaches to tailor the process to each individual, couple, and family. My goal is to create a thoughtful, flexible approach that best fits your unique need and context. I also understand that therapy can be costly, so I offer sliding-scale options to make support more accessible.
